C17H23NO3. {{anchor:s4}}Discovered in 1833 as being the alkaloid in the berries, leaves and root of Atropa Belladonna; it was at first used in the Homeopathic School by such as wanted something stronger, and proved years after. {{anchor:s5}}As it is, we have to regard all the symptoms, provings, poisonings and cures, as very uncertain. {{anchor:s6}}See Fehling's Dictionary, vol. i, 1871, p. 902. {{anchor:s7}}The only trustworthy preparation is the Atropinum sulphuricum. {{anchor:s8}}This may have been the drug used in many cases in which it was not considered worth while to add the name of the mineral acid. ====== SENSORIUM.
