Legatum Homeopathicum

Wednesday 4th, December 2013

Dear subscriber,

it looks like much longer to us, but it is only one year since the official start of Legatum Homeopathicum project. Looking back, what has been accomplished? Reading the list below, it seems like quite a lot.

Resources released for and by Legatum Homeopathicum

So far, we have succesfully started two projects – Project HomeoPublish (publishing of out-of-copyright homeopathic literature) and Project Remedies (basic remedy naming, structure and information)

We are happy about the accomplishments stated above, but there are severeal issues that prevent us calling it a prime success. Looking at our web site statistics, it is clear many of you keep coming back and study the articles (which is great!), but we still perceive a problem we labeled as

Weak community response

  • We'd like to see you much more involved. There are many things you can do to help improve the quality of the published content.
  • By linking to our articles / resources, you can let other homeopaths know about our web site or simply tell your friends and colleagues. One of the objectives of this initiative/project (Legatum Homeopathicum) is to connect and bring homeopaths together.
  • We'd like to see more discussion going on the web site and more relevant questions from you.
  • We need more proofreading volunteers. This bothers us quite a lot as many of you would be quite qualified to help with this, yet only a handful of people actually do it.

We also regret the fact we have still been unable to start the implementation of Phase 1 of our most important endeavour – Project Object Repertory. The reason is a practical one – we have still not accumulated enough money to be able to start. And frankly, if it was not for a handful of generous supporters we would have very little financial resources to do even the basic stuff. Therefore we are asking you:

Please donate! You can send your donation easily by PayPal or direct bank transfer.

If you have any comments, tips, request, feedback, questions etc., feel free to contact us.

As of now, the newsletter will be issued only once per month (instead of bi-weekly) so this is the last newsletter for this year and we'll get back to you in January. For those who celebrate it, we wish you a merry Christmas and to all of you: see you again in the new year 2014.

How to Become a Homeopath

Instead of the usual question and answer by André Saine, we are offering you one of his older interviews with his views and clues for a homeopath striving to imitate the ways of Hahnemann.

Recommended article – Dunham's Retrospect

Concluding one year of our activities, we find it fitting to recommend Dunham's Retrospect to one of the volumes of the American Homoeopathic Review as the final recommended article for this year. Reading it, we cannot escape the impression that history indeed tends to repeat itself, so, without divulging any further information, we invite you to read this very interesting and relevant article.
